Dangerous Corner
In the spring of 2023, I had the opportunity to costume design, Dangerous Corner by JB Priestley, as part of my graduate degree at UNCSA. The play, set in 1932, tells the story of publishing company executives and their spouses unraveling old secrets about the true circumstances of a friend’s death. This was my first time designing a theatrical production with built costumes. The depth of historical research and working with student drapers was a new challenge for me and taught me a great deal. I enjoyed working with the design team to create a cohesive and beautiful design and I learned how valuable our communication was to a smooth working relationship and lack of issues throughout production.
